Determination of the names and boundaries of New South Wales state electoral districts
The Electoral Districts Redistribution Panel (the Panel) has made its final determination of the names and boundaries of electoral districts. The determination was proclaimed in the Gazette on 26 August 2021 by Her Excellency the Governor, the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC.
As required by section 29(3) of the Electoral Act 2017, the maps of the 93 electoral districts and the four index maps are available below for inspection.

This is a text-only version of the report and should be read in conjunction with the index and district maps below.
In preparing the determination, the Panel obtained and considered further advice from its demographer, I.D. Consulting Pty Ltd, on the potential impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on enrolment forecasts. The electoral districts specified in the proclamation are, until altered by a further distribution required under the Constitution Act 1902, the electoral districts of New South Wales.
The redistribution comes into effect for the March 2023 New South Wales state general election. Any state by-elections that take place prior to that election will be conducted on the boundaries used at the 2019 state general election.
Key determinations
Abolished
The electoral district of Lakemba is abolished.
Created
The electoral district of Leppington is created.
Re-named
The following four electoral districts are re-named:
Badgerys Creek – formerly Mulgoa
Kellyville – formerly Baulkham Hills
Wahroonga – formerly Ku-ring-gai
Winston Hills – formerly Seven Hills.
