Voting options

Find out where to vote on election day, what you can expect when you arrive, and the support available.

You can apply to vote by post at a single election, or apply to register as a general postal voter for every election.

You can vote in person before the election if you can't get to a voting centre or polling place on election day.

Telephone assisted voting is available to electors who are blind or have low vision.

If you will be outside New South Wales on election day, there are a number of options to help you cast your vote.

If you are voting outside of your electorate, not enrolled to vote, or your name has already been marked off the roll, we may ask you to complete a declaration vote.

We visit some nursing homes, convalescent homes, hospitals and similar institutions to allow residents to vote on site before election day.
