Posters are not permitted in places that people vote, or within six metres of the entrance to those places.
Further than six metres from the entrance, posters may be displayed on the outer wall, fence, etc. of the grounds in which a building used for voting is situated, or within the grounds of the building.
Posters are not permitted within any premises occupied or used by, or under the control or management of:
- a NSW Government agency, or
- any council, or
- on or within any other premises unless the owner has given permission in writing.
Any poster in these places or on private property without permission can be removed without notice to you. Note: this includes electricity and other utility poles, as placing posters on them without written permission is against the law.
The NSW Department of Education has asked that people do not enter schools before 4:30pm on the Friday before election day to place posters.
