Ballot paper draws completed
Ballot paper draws for the 2024 NSW Local Government elections were held on Thursday, 15 August at each Returning Officer’s office.
Candidates and groups are now shown on our website in the order they will appear on the ballot paper.
Ballot paper templates
Ballot paper templates for each election will be published progressively on our website, with all available on Monday, 19 August. These templates will assist candidates in preparing their electoral material, particularly how-to-vote material.
When including a sample of the ballot paper on how-to-vote material, the details must be an accurate representation of the ballot paper, for example, the spelling of candidates’ names, registered political party names and the inclusion or exclusion of the word ‘Independent’. This information must appear exactly as it will on the ballot paper for the election. Partial representations of the ballot paper may be accepted.
Candidate information webinars
The next webinar will be held on Tuesday, 20 August at 11am and will cover the following topics:
- Candidate and party workers at polling places
- Scrutineers.
