Ballot paper draws: 2024 Local Government elections 

The final list of candidates for the 2024 NSW Local Government elections will be available on Thursday, 15 August.  

Candidate nominations for the elections close at 12 noon today.  

The 2024 NSW Local Government elections will be held on Saturday, 14 September.  

Following the ballot paper draws for each local council tomorrow, candidate details will be published in the order they will appear on the ballot paper on the NSW Electoral Commission website. This applies for councillor and mayoral elections. 

Any uncontested elections will be declared at this time.   

Ballot paper draws will be held at the office of the Returning Officer for each council area and are open to the media and the public, including candidates. Office addresses are available on the NSW Electoral Commission website

Please note room capacity limits will apply.
