Boundary Description

Commencing at the intersection of the generally southern boundary of Maitland City Council, gazetted 27th November 1959, and the New England Highway: and bounded thence by part of that boundary, generally westerly, part of the generally western boundary of that city, generally northerly to the Hunter River; by that river, upwards to the northern prolongation of the generally eastern boundary of Lot 11, DP 825903; by that prolongation, boundary and the southern boundary of that lot and its prolongation, generally southerly and westerly to the New England Highway, aforesaid; by that highway, generally south-easterly and the Golden Highway, generally westerly to the Main Northern Railway; by that railway, generally south-easterly to the northern prolongation of the generally eastern boundary of Lot 100, DP 1033019; by that boundary, generally southerly and the southern boundary of Lot 1, DP 1019768, easterly to the generally north-western boundary of the City of Cessnock, gazetted 8th December 1978; by part of that boundary, generally south-westerly to Wollombi Brook; by that brook and Watagan Creek, upwards to Watagan Creek Road; by that road, generally south-easterly to the generally south-eastern boundaries of the City of Cessnock; by part of that boundary, generally north-easterly to point north-west of the source of Burkes Creek; by a line south-easterly to that creek; by that creek, and Cockle Creek, downwards and Brush Creek, upwards to Main Road; by that road, westerly and Impala Street, generally north-easterly to the generally south-western boundary of the City of Newcastle, gazetted 3rd November 1978; by part of that boundary, generally north-westerly to an unnamed creek flowing through Lot 71, DP 1065169 and Lot 123, DP 1050678; by that creek downwards to Minmi Road; by that road, generally northeasterly to the southern prolongation of the western boundary of Lot 11, DP 1044935; by that prolongation and boundary, northerly, the western and north-western boundaries of Lot 10, DP 1044935, northerly and north-easterly, a line, the north-western boundaries of Lot 21, DP 1024373, Lot 455, DP 998893, a line, Lot 21, DP 836450, Lot 1, DP 90465, a line, Lot 1, DP 155530 and its prolongation, northeasterly to the Main Northern Railway; by that railway, generally north-westerly to a canal from Hexham Swamp to Purgatory Creek; by that canal and Purgatory Creek downwards to the mean low water mark of the right bank of Hunter River; by a line north-easterly to the mean low water mark of the left bank of Hunter River; by that bank upwards to the generally southern boundary of Maitland City Council,aforesaid, and by part of that boundary generally westerly to the point of commencement.
