Twelve candidates nominate for by-election

Nominations for the Goulburn Mulwaree Council by-election to be held Saturday, 20 June closed at 12 noon yesterday.

The following twelve candidates have nominated to contest the two vacant positions on the council.

Electors may view each candidate’s information sheet at www.elections.nsw.gov.au or at the office of the Returning Officer.

Pre-poll and Postal voting

Electoral Commissioner Colin Barry reminded voters of early voting options.

“If you cannot get to a polling place on election day you can still make your vote count by casting a pre-poll or postal vote”, said Mr Barry.

Postal vote applications will be accepted up until 5.00pm on Monday, 15 June.

Pre-poll voting is available Monday to Friday, commencing Tuesday, 9 June and closing

at 6.00pm on Friday, 19 June, at the Goulburn Mulwaree Civic Centre, 184-194 Bourke Street Goulburn.

Election day is Saturday, 20 June. Voting is compulsory for all residents on the electoral roll.
