Candidates nominate for Broken Hill election

Nominations for the Broken Hill City Council election to be held next month closed at 12 noon today.
The following 11 candidates have nominated to contest the election for mayor:

Electors may view each candidate’s information sheet at www.elections.nsw.gov.au or at the office of the Returning Officer.
Pre-poll and Postal voting
Electoral Commissioner Colin Barry reminded voters of early voting options.
“If you cannot get to a polling place on election day you can still make your vote count by casting a pre-poll or postal vote”, said Mr Barry.
Postal vote applications will be accepted up until 5.00pm on Monday, 30 November.
Pre-poll voting is available Monday to Friday, commencing Monday, 23 November and closing at 6.00pm on Friday, 4 December at the Broken Hill Returning Office, 357 Argent Street, Broken Hill.
Election day is Saturday, 5 December. Voting is compulsory for all residents on the electoral roll.
