Nominations are now open for candidates who wish to contest the State by-elections of Cabramatta, Lakemba and Ryde to be held on Saturday 18 October 2008.

To nominate, prospective candidates must lodge a nomination form, child-related conduct declaration and a $250 nomination deposit by 12 noon Friday, 26 September 2008, with the Returning Officer of the district they wish to contest. Late nominations will not be accepted.

Nomination forms and the Handbook for Candidates and Parties - State By-elections are available from the Returning Officer or from the NSW Electoral Commission website, www.elections.nsw.gov.au.

Nominations have closed for the Port Macquarie By-election

Nominations closed at 12 noon Friday, 19 September 2008, for the Port Macquarie By-election. Eleven candidates will contest the by-election to be held on Saturday 18 October 2008.
