Candidates who wish to contest next month’s State by-elections of Cabramatta, Lakemba and Ryde have until 12 noon Friday 26 September to nominate.

Nominations have already closed for the Port Macquarie by-election, with 11 candidates contesting the poll.

To nominate for Cabramatta, Lakemba and Ryde, prospective candidates must lodge a nomination form, child-related conduct declaration and a $250 nomination deposit by 12 noon Friday, 26 September 2008 with the respective Returning Officer  Late nominations will not be accepted.

Nomination forms and the Handbook for Candidates and Parties - State By-elections are available from the local Returning Officer or from the NSW Electoral Commission’s website, www.elections.nsw.gov.au.
