New Pre-poll centre for By-election

The NSW Electoral Commissioner announced a new pre-poll voting centre for Port Macquarie today.

The voting centre will open from Tuesday 7 October and will accept votes from people who cannot make it to a polling place on election day, 18 October.

“The new location will offer a fully wheelchair accessible pre-poll venue to people with restricted mobility,” said the Electoral Commissioner Colin Barry.

The details of the new pre-poll voting centre are as follows:

Shop 2/155 Horton Street, Port Macquarie
Tuesday 7 October - Friday 17 October (Mon-Fri), 9am - 5pm

Pre-poll votes will also be accepted at the returning officer’s office at:

Suite 4, 133-137 Gordon Street, Port Macquarie
Monday 22 September – Friday 17 October (Mon-Fri), 9am to 6pm

Saturday 11 October 2008, 9am to 1pm
