Parliament of New South Wales
The Parliament of New South Wales offers many programs and resources intended to increase knowledge and understanding of the role and functions of the Parliament and to support the development of civic skills necessary for active citizenship. These include:

Australian Electoral Commission (AEC)
The AEC has a wide range of educational resources provided free of charge. These include:
- Electoral Education Centres (EECs) in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth

- publications including electoral education teachers resource, classroom magazines, videos with teachers notes and DVDs.
Democracy Rules: an electoral education resource
The Democracy Rules CDROM is a teacher’s guide produced and distributed by the AEC to all Australian schools in 2007 to enable teachers to confidently lead students in electoral education.
Civics and Citizenship Education
The Civics and Citizenship Education website contains resources, information, activities and links for teachers, students and parents involved in civics and citizenship education. Civics and citizenship education promotes students' participation in Australia's democracy by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, values and dispositions of active and informed citizenship.
Parliament @ Work
The Parliament @ Work website is for teachers and students and provides information about current State, Territory and Commonwealth parliamentarians and electorates. For each electorate census data and the latest election results are provided. There is also information about every parliament in Australia and about major political parties.
The Parliamentary Education Office (PEO)
The Parliamentary Education Office provides information about the Australian Parliament and assists students and teachers to take an active role as citizens in our democracy. The Office has a website with information, games and resources aimed at students of all ages.
